Dr. Dre stars in the first ever commercial for his Beats line, promoting the special edition “Studio Color” headphones. The spot is short and to the point, and yes it does makes me want a pair even more! If you’re feeling generous, I’ll take the pink ;)
106 & Park co-host Rocsi Diaz has finally broken her silence about the infamous Webbie incident. She recently sat down with Peter Bailey of NBC’s Nitecap and talked about being disrespected by her fellow Louisiana native, saying:
In any light that a woman feels that she was disrespected, and I have thick skin you know what I’m saying? But when you’re at your job and somebody sexually harasses you in a manner that is very vulgar and disgusting, you know, I have no shame for sticking up for myself and telling you that you’re improper right now. I’m at work, we’re on a set, there’s children around us, you know, you’re really out of line right now. [...] He disrespected me and Terrence stood up for me, I stood up for myself, and the network would not allow anybody to come and disrespect their hosts in that manner.
I’m still curious to as what exactly was said to Miss Diaz. My best guess would be that it has something to do with Webbie once again bragging about how big his d*ck is, but I have a feeling that’s never going to be confirmed.
Besides the Webbie f*ckery, Rocsi also talked about her love life, transitioning into acting, and even opens up a bit about her past struggle with anorexia. Check out the full interview below.
In an industry full of carbon copies and studio-only singers, it’s always refreshing to see an artist stepping outside of that stereotypical box and doing their own thing; and MBK/J Records recording artist Elle Varner epitomizes that. The more I hear from her, the more I’m absolutely loving her sound.

Say what you want about T.I. and his problems with the law, but you can’t deny that he really comes across as a true, genuine, family man. And with his new reality show documentary series, we’ll be seeing even more of that side of Tip. T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle premieres on VH1 Monday, December 5, and will allow viewers an up close and personal peek into life at the Harris household.
Now I never really got into Tiny & Toya, but I know I’ll be tuning in for this. I love the dynamic between T.I. and Tiny, and the kids are a straight trip! If you’re not ready to set your DVR yet, check out the four minute trailer below, and I can guarantee you’ll be sucked in.
It’s a sad day in the world of comedy, as the hilarious Patrice O’Neal has passed away at the age of only 41. It’s said that Patrice died of complications from a stroke he suffered back in October.
If you’ve ever watched a roast on Comedy Central or any of the random VH1 countdown specials, chances are that you’re familiar with Patrice’s work. He also appeared on episodes of The Office and Chappelle’s Show, and was a staple on the “Opie & Anthony” radio show.
A rep for Patrice, Matt Frost, issued the following statement:
It is with terrible sadness we must report that Patrice O’Neal has passed away this morning at 7:00 AM due to the complications of the stroke he suffered on October 19.
Many of us have lost a close and loved friend; all of us have lost a true comic genius. His mother, who was also his best friend, was at his side. Patrice is survived by his wife, Vondecarlo; his step daughter Aymilyon, sister Zinder, and his mother Georgia
The family wishes to thank all of the fans and friends who have expressed an outpouring of love and support for Patrice these past weeks. We ask that you please respect the family’s request for privacy at this difficult time.
41 is definitely just way too young to go. RIP Patrice.
Making the Band may no longer be on the air, but Day26 fans are in for a treat. The fellas are back on the scene with a new single, and have just debuted their web series “A New Day.” In the brief first episode, the guys talk about Que’s exit from the crew, clown Brian and his “anger management issues,” and of course let us know what we can expect in the near future from the group.
I know I miss watching all of their MTB antics, so I can definitely see myself tuning in for more of these webisodes. Hit the jump to check it out.
It appears that all is not well financially for TLC star Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins. The singer has filed documents with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, claiming debts of nearly $800,000. This is not the first time T-Boz has had financial issues; your may remember that TLC filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy back in 1995, and T-Boz herself filed similar papers earlier this year, which were dismissed a month later.
Via TMZ:
According to docs filed last month in U.S. Bankruptcy Court, T-Boz (real name Tionne Watkins) found herself owing creditors $768,642.99 — mostly from mortgages on her $1.2 million house.
The docs don’t paint a picture of exorbitant spending — she takes in $11,700/month in income, with monthly expenses totaling $8,821.
TLC had ten top ten singles, four number one singles, four multi-platinum albums, and four Grammy Awards … but according to the docs, T-Boz only pulls in $1,200/month in royalties.
T-Boz might have dodged the bankruptcy bullet if she’d been able to collect the child support she claims she’s owed — which according to the docs is $250,000.
Calls to her attorney were not returned.
I guess on the bright side, it’s nice to see that she didn’t get into this situation spending ignorant amounts of cash, i.e. Real Housewives of New Jersey style. *Shrugs* And $250K in back child support, where the hell is Mack 10?!?
Mary J. Blige was the latest star to drop by the set of Chelsea Lately and chat it up with the hilarious Miss Handler. Looking absolutely fabulous (those boots are TO DIE FOR), Mary dished about her new album, what it’s like to be married to her manager, working with Drake, and of course the mutual love that her and Chelsea share for Tons of Fun Rick Ross. Unlike a lot of Chelsea’s guests, Mary also hit the stage to perform as well, giving the audience a taste of her latest single “Mr. Wrong.”
