Tyrese Teams Up With Brandy & Melanie Fiona: Which Do You Prefer?

With Tyrese’s Open Invitation set to drop November 1, leaks were pretty much inevitable. Two versions of the ballad “The Rest of Our Lives” have hit the web, one featuring Brandy and the other with Melanie Fiona. According to Tyrese, the track was written with the intentions of being a wedding song:

This is a wedding song that was written for the “First Dance” where the husband is speaking blessings into his wife’s life and she’s doing the same in the second verse. We were long overdue for a new classic wedding song embrace and enjoy.

No word on which cut will actually make the album, but you can listen to both below.

T.I.’s First Post-Prison Interview

Now a free man, T.I. granted his first post-release interview to V-103′s Ryan Cameron show in Atlanta. During the lengthy discussion, TIP opened up about being a family man, not looking backwards, embracing social media, jumping on a track with Jay and Kanye, his upcoming reality show “documentary series” and of course he talked plenty about his music too.

Watching this interview just made me smile. The man is so damn charismatic, and you can just tell he keeps it real. He’s slick with the one-liners and punchlines too; I was rolling when he busted out the Dave Chappelle, “FIF!”

T.I. Makes A Quiet Exit From Halfway House

Early this morning, T.I. officially became a free man for the ten-billionth time once again.

Via TMZ:

The rapper made a quiet exit from an Atlanta halfway house just after midnight this morning.

T.I. — real name Clifford Harris – spent 10 months in federal prison for a probation violation after he was arrested in L.A. last year for drug charges. He was on probation for firearms charges.

Unlike his Aug. 31 release from federal prison, T.I. left the halfway house with no fanfare — no tour bus, no documentary producers — simply getting into a chauffeur-driven SUV and leaving.

No doubt “The King” will be out and about celebrating his newly-found freedom. He’s already set to pop bottles at a $100,000 brunch on Sunday with a group of his “closest” family and friends.

Nicole Scherzinger Proves She’s Got Pipes

If you didn’t catch last night’s episode of X-Factor, you missed what could perhaps be the most shocking moment of the season…Nicole Scherzinger can actually sing! The judge, and former Pussycat Doll, put Simon Cowell in his place when he compared a pretty talentless contestant to what he assumed Nicole would’ve done at age 20 if auditioning for a similar show.

Nicole then reminded Simon she DID try out for a singing show back in 2001 (the WB’s Popstars), and she killed her audition with a rendition of Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You.” To further prove her point, she belted out a few lines of the song, and honestly my jaw dropped. I have shaded the hell out of Nicole in the past, but she proved that she really does have talent. I’d love to hear her actually put out some type of ballad, instead of the overly auto-tuned club crap she usually delivers.

Amber Rose Pops Off On Hot 97

Amber Rose was in New York yesterday, and dropped by the Hot 97 Morning Show to chop it up with Cipha Sounds, Peter Rosenberg and K. Foxx. Amb held nothing back as she discussed the Wiz/Kanye situation, her beef with Funkmaster Flex and who would win in an “ass off” between her and Kim Kardashian.

On a hypothetical Wiz/Kanye altercation:

I think he would beat the crap out of Kanye…and I’d kick ‘em while he’s down. I’d be right there with him.

On her beef with Funk Flex:

I hate Funkmaster Flex, he’s an asshole man [...] I mean he’s just ignorant in every single way possible. He’s just an ignorant person. Like everything that he says is just rude and ignorant. When people come in to, you know, come to talk to him, he kisses everybody’s ass. Then when he leaves, he talks about everybody. I just think he’s really whack for that. When you come in the studio, be real.

On an “ass off” with Kim Kardashian:

Kim is like 5-foot-nothing, I’m 5’9″. I got way more booty than Kim.
