The title should be self explanatory, but every Thursday I want to bust out a record that takes us all back. It may be relevant to the news of the day, and it may just be completely random. Either way, I’m sure y’all will enjoy the hell out of these posts!

The first “Throwback Thursday” song comes from Sparkle. (Yes, remember her?!?) “Be Careful” was released back in 1998, and when it came up on shuffle on my iPod today, I knew had to share. I’m not sure why my 12-year-old ass was vibin’ to this back in the day *shrugs* but a dope track nonetheless.

Lauryn Hill Responds To The Rumors

Young Jeezy Performs In NYC, Kicks Off New Tour

If you missed the live stream last night, Young Jeezy took over the Highline Ballroom in New York City to celebrate the sixth anniversary of his debut album Thug Motivation 101. Jeezy pulled no punches with the show, bringing out guest performers like Jay-Z, Kanye West, Bun B, Fabolous and D-Block.

Keri’s TwitPic Controversy

Early this morning, Keri Hilson posted a TwitPic with an Amy Winehouse look-a-like, along with a caption many considered insensitive, rude and way too soon after the singer’s recent death:

 

Immediately fans went in on the R&B singer, and Keri apologized to the masses, saying she had no ill intent with the tweets.

Come on, I mean no harm. All due respect. But really the resemblance freaked me out. This was simply the best tribute ever. #RIPAMYWINEHOUSE

DJ Drama took to twitter this afternoon to drop the remix to his latest single “Oh My.” The revamped ode to sexy ladies features Trey Songz, Big Sean and 2 Chainz.

Personally , I prefer the original version better. Not saying I won’t listen to this cut, but it just seems kind of all over the place. From Trey talking about titties, 2 Chainz mentioning his Louis shoes and Big Sean clearly firing back at The Game, it was all just a lil’ too much for one track.
